Deinonychus Editions is now Julyn Editions
After our first year of publishing, Deinonychus Editions has a new name: Julyn Editions.
The press itself remains the same. We are still an independent publisher based in Berlin, committed to books that are strange, intimate, imaginative, and difficult to place neatly into categories.
Deinonychus Editions was the name under which we began, and it will always remain part of our history.
Our first book, I Saw Your Ship & Other Stories, was published under that name.
But as the press grows beyond its beginnings, we wanted a name that could grow with it.
Julyn Editions is that name.
New name. Same press. More to come.

NEW FROM THAUMA MEDIA
littlesuicidecandy illustrates for Michael Le Baron’s “I Saw Your Ship and Other Stories”
We’re thrilled to announce that visual artist Amanda M. Jansson has illustrated and written the foreword for the newly released speculative fiction collection, I Saw Your Ship and Other Stories by Michael Le Baron, published by Deinonychus Editions.
Released on November 1, 2025, the book invites readers into a universe of sentient silence, mythic cosmologies, and existential longing. The collection explores what it means to yearn for grace and meaning in a seemingly indifferent universe — themes that resonate deeply with Amanda’s own artistic exploration of identity, power, and memory.
Blending visual art with the book’s theopoetic cosmicist vision, Amanda’s cover art sets the tone for a mythic, immersive reading experience that merges the haunting beauty of world-building with a philosophical edge. Her foreword offers a powerful reflection on the emotional and symbolic depth of the stories, serving as a visual and thematic gateway into Le Baron’s multidimensional narrative.
Published in Berlin by Deinonychus Editions, this genre-blending work is ideal for fans of Jeff VanderMeer, Clark Ashton Smith, and those who crave speculative fiction that dares to be both cerebral and heartfelt.

비주얼 아티스트 아만다 M. 얀손이 마이클 르 바론의 신작 소설집 『I Saw Your Ship and Other Stories』의 표지 일러스트와 서문을 맡았다는 소식을 전해드립니다.
